Lemon Chicken / ലെമൺ ചിക്കൻ

Ingredients:
  • Chicken - 200gm, Boneless
  • Lemon - 1 big
  • Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp
  • Black Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder - 2 tsp
  • Vinegar - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/8 tsp
  • Egg - 1 
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Spring Onion - 2 nos
  • Corn Flour - 2 tsp
  • Water - 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp
  • Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp + for frying
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Marinate chicken pieces with egg, soya sauce, black pepper powder, kashmiri red chilly powder, vinegar, salt.
  • Heat oil for frying and deep fry chicken till golden brown.
  • In a bowl, squeeze juice of one lemon, soya sauce, vinegar, sugar and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add finely chopped garlic. Saute for couple of minutes.
  • Add the prepared juice-sauce mix to the pan along with water and stir well.
  • Dilute cornstarch with 2 tbsp of water and stir into the pan.
  • Add the fried chicken pieces when the gravy is thick.
  • Cook for few more mins to coat on chicken pieces. Switch off the stove and garnish with sesame seeds.
