- Tea leaves - 3 to 4 tsp
- Sugar - 3 tsp (as per taste)
- Water - 3 cups
- Whole Milk - 3 cups
- Cardomom Powder - 1 tsp
- Ginger Powder - 1 tsp
Method:
- Take 2 deep saucepans (depth of saucepan should be in such a way that it should be atleast half empty after filling water/milk). One saucepan should be with lid.
- In the first saucepan, add water, sugar, tea leaves, cardomom powder, ginger powder and let it boil on medium - high flame. When it starts boiling, turn the flame to low-medium and cover it with a lid without vent. (If with vents, cover with a tight wheat dough/crushed aluminum foil). Let it cook for atleast 30mins. I did mine for an hour.
- In the second saucepan, add milk and boil it on medium flame till the first saucepan's cooking time.
- Strain the tea decoction and add the strained milk(to avoid malai). Serve hot.
