Sambaaram / Spiced Buttermilk

Ingredients:
  • Thick Curd - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 to 3 cups
  • Green Chilly - 2 to 3 nos
  • Curry Leaves - a few
  • Ginger - 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala - a pinch (Optional)
  • Cumin Powder - 1/2 to 1 tsp
  • Lemon - 1 (Optional)
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Take curd with water in a mixing bowl. Using a electric beater or whisk (I used electric beater), beat well till bubbles appear and to form a lumpfree loose liquid.
  • Add finely chopped green chillies, crushed curry leaves, cumin powder, garam masala and salt to taste. Whisk well to combine. 
  • Check salt. If curd is not sour, squeeze in lemon juice as desired.
