For chicken marination:
- Chicken - 1/2 kg
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
- Egg - 1 nos
- Corn Flour - 3 tbsp
- Maida - 5 tbsp
- Curd - 2 tbsp
- Water as required
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
For gravy:
- Orange Juice - 3 tbsp
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tbsp + 1 tsp
- Chilly Flakes - 1 tbsp
- Ginger - 1/2 tsp
- Garlic - 1 tbsp
- Sugar - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Vinegar - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp
- White Sesame - 1/2 tsp (Optional)
Method:
- Add all the dry ingredients mentioned under marination to a mixing bowl, mix well. Add curd, oil, egg, water and make a smooth paste.
- Marinate chicken in the wet mixture. Rest for atleast an hour or overnight as required.
- Deep fry the chicken pieces till light golden.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a saucepan. Add chilly flakes and saute for a minute.
- Add finely chopped ginger and garlic. Saute on high flame for a minute.
- Further add sugar, orange juice, soya sauce and vinegar. Bring it to a quick boil. Taste check and add fried chicken pieces.
- Give it a quick mix and serve hot garnishing with sesame seeds.
