- Chana / White Chickpeas - 1/2 cup
- Water - as required
- Salt to taste
- Red Chilly Powder - 1 to 2 tsp
Method:
- Soak chana in hot water for atleast 4-5 hours.
- Drain soaked water and pressure cook for a whistle on medium flame with 1 cup fresh water.
- Let the pressure release on its own.
- Drain the water and spread it on a clean towel or tissue for atleast one hour.
- Heat oil for frying on medium flame. Fry chana in batches till chana starts floating on top and golden brown in color.
- Spread fried chana on a tissue to wipe off excess oil. Repeat for all the chana.
- Take chana in a bowl and add salt and red chilli powder to taste. Mix well to coat all chana.
- Store in airtight container when room temperature.
