Ambo Chirdillel / Mashed Raw Mango

Ingredients:
  • Raw Mango - 1 small
  • Green Chilly - 1 to 2 nos
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut Oil - 1 tsp
  • Hing / Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Method:
  • Wash and roughly chop mango and green chillies as per taste to small pieces.
  • Using a mortar and pestle, mash the mango pieces in such a way that tiny bits of pieces remain to bite.
  • In the same mortar, gently crush green chillies as well (Can be done together or separate).
  • Mix everything well to combine. Add hing, salt to taste and drizzle oil on top of the mix. Crush everything well with a fork or fingers. Ready to serve.

  • I prefer to use mango which has slightly yellowish flesh and not pure white as tangy+sweet taste is preferred.
