Kook Tomat Chirdillel / Mashed Potato-Tomato

Ingredients:
  • Tomato - 1 medium
  • Potato - 1 medium
  • Green Chilly - 1 to 2 nos
  • Coriander Leaves - one handful 
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves - 3 to 5 nos
  • Hing- 1/4 tsp
Method:
  • Pressure cook tomato and potato for 2 whistles or till cooked well. Alternatively you can boil in water in a saucepan as desired. 
  • De-skin potatoes and mash potatoes along with tomatoes in a bowl. I used fork to mash everything.
  • Finely chop green chillies as per spice level, and add to the bowl.
  • Further add finely chopped coriander leaves and salt to taste. Mash well to combine.
  • Heat oil for tempering. Add mustard seeds. 
  • When it splutter, add hing, curry leaves and cumin seeds.
  • Switch off the flame and add to the bowl. Give it a good mix and serve.
