Pazham Puzhungiyath

Ingredients:
  • Ripe Plantain 
  • Water 
Method 1: In Microwave
  • Cut bananas to 2 or 3 so as to fit inside a microwave safe bowl.
  • Add about 1/4 cup of water so that it will not stick to bottom. 
  • Cover with a microwavable lid.
  • Microwave for 3minutes on high power.
 
  • Take it out and check if cooked. 
  • Cook for 3more minutes and repeat till cooked.
Method 2: In Stovetop
  • Cut bananas to 2 or 3 so as to fit inside a vessel.
  • Fill the vessel with water to 3/4 full.
  • Add bananas to the vessel. Cover and cook on high flame for 10-15minutes. 
  • Check if cooked in between as cooking time is different for different bananas.
  • De-skin and serve hot with sprinkled sugar on top.
