Spinach Corn Sandwich

Ingredients:
  • Spinach - 1 bunch
  • Corn - 200 gm
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilly Flakes - 1 tbsp + to garnish
  • Italian Seasoning - 1 tsp + to garnish (Optional)
  • Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice -1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  • Onion - 1 small
  • Garam Masala - 1 pinch
  • Garlic - 5 cloves
  • Mozzarella Cheese - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp + to spread on bread
  • Bread Slices - 10 small
Method:
  • Heat ghee in a kadai. Add finely chopped garlic and saute for 30 seconds.

  • Further add finely chopped onions. Cook on medium flame till translucent.


  • Add italian seasoning, garam masala, cumin powder, red chilly flakes, pepper powder and saute for 30 more seconds on low flame. Add salt to taste. 
  • Add chopped spinach and corn along with lemon juice to the onions and cook for 5-10mins.




  • Add the cheese and cook till melted. Keep aside.
  • Take bread slices and apply ghee and or ketchup on one side of all slices. 

  • Meanwhile heat a tawa on medium flame to toast the sandwiches.
  • Add heaped spoonful of spinach-corn mixture and place on bread. Spread evenly. 
  • Sprinkle red chilly flakes and italian seasoning. Cover it with another bread slice. Repeat the same for all the sandwiches.

  • Place one sandwich on the hot tawa. Cook on medium flame for a minute. Press it gently with a flat ladle.
  • Flip to cook the second side when first side is golden and crispy. Repeat for all the sandwiches.
