- Raw Mango / Ambo / Pacha Manga - 1/8 cup
- Jackfruit Seeds / Bikkand / Chakkakuru - 1/4 cup
- Bengal Gram / Chono / Kadala - 1/2 cup
- Drumstick / Dento / Muringa - 1/4 to 1/2 cup
- Masala / Massolu - 5 to 6 tbsp
- Fish Tamarind / Dharambe Sol / Kudampuli - 1/2 lime size
- Hot Water as required
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak bengal gram for overnight and pressure cook for 5-6 whistles or till cooked well.
- Boil or pressure cook jackfruit seeds, raw mango, drumstick for a whistle or two or till cooked well adding salt to taste. Do not make it mushy. Keep all the cooked vegetables aside.
- Take all the cooked vegetables along with the cooked bengal gram in a vessel and add 2 to 3 cups hot boiling water. Bring it to boil.
- Add 4 to 5 tbsp of massolu to the boiling vegetables and mix well. Bring everything to boil. Add a tbsp or two of massolu as per spice level and gravy needed. (Add more water for more gravy, while adding massolu at the same time).
- Further add the fish tamarind piece and mix well. Adjust salt to taste and switch off the stove.
